| AVANTA OPENS FIRST BUSINESS CENTRE IN SCOTLAND Growing serviced office company Avanta is to open its first business centre in Scotland. The company has acquired an 8,800 sq ft office building in Edinburgh City centre from Fidra Investments Limited for £1.85 million, which it will operate as a serviced office. Since the company was formed in 2004, Avanta has enjoyed rapid expansion and now manages over 500,00 sq ft of office space across fifteen locations in London , Thames Valley , the North West and Midlands . The Edinburgh venture is company’s first business centre to be launched in Scotland, and is expected to open in May this year. The building is based on Hanover Street in the City centre, a five minute walk from Waverley train station and St Andrew Square bus terminal. The main shopping area of Princes Street is on the doorstep, along with the many bars and shops on George Street. As with all Avanta business centres, the business centre features cutting edge communications technology, including VoIP telephone systems, scaleable broadband web access and dedicated computer rooms. There is also wi fi enabled communal areas, a secure reception area and fully equipped meeting and training rooms. Customers in the new building will be able to take advantage of the company’s virtual office service – Avanta Virtual PA . Designed to offer businesses a complete package of office support but without the actual office space, Virtual PA can deliver a full range of business centre facilities to home workers, business start-ups, professionals on the move, or larger organisations seeking a market presence in Manchester. Aligned to the Virtual PA, is Avanta’s meeting and training room service (MTR) . For companies who wish to hire space for a board away day or brainstorm session, a day’s interviewing or seminar and training, Avanta can offer meeting rooms complete with audio and video conferencing. Also part of the Manchester Meeting & Training Room package will be catering and secretarial services, while specialist meeting coordinators are available to take care of the smallest detail.
