Business centre in Manchester
The de facto capital of the North of England, Avanta's business centre centre is located in Royal Mills, Ancoats Urban Village

Our business centre
Our business centre in Manchester occupies three floors within the original Royal Mills building, which retains many period features including a number of machines in tribute to the past.
The space has been thoughtfully refurbished and offers comfortable, contemporary serviced office accommodation, with break out areas, tea points and two meeting rooms.
With a staffed reception, comprehensive business services, 24 hour access and state of the art IT and comms technology, this is a compelling location for any business.
And with the area rapidly becoming one of Manchester’s most fashionable, it’s a business mailing address that creates just the right impression; one you can enjoy through our virtual office service.
About Manchester
The decline of manufacturing (textiles in particular) hit Manchester hard in the middle of the 20th century, but it has bounced back in recent years to become a prosperous, vibrant world city.
More than 60 banking institutions are based in Manchester, employing over 15,000 people, and the city has two highly regarded Universities, as well as a booming science and technology sector.
Manufacturing is also resurgent, albeit in new industries, and there is an amazing social vibe to the city, thanks to the large student population, many overseas visitors and robust economy.
The Greater Manchester area is one of the strongest economic regions in the UK, generating £38bn of the country’s GVA, which is more than Wales or Northern Ireland.
And away from business, the city has a rich sporting tradition, headed of course by the world famous Manchester United football (soccer) team.
About Royal Mills
The location of our business centre, Royal Mills, is a collection of historic buildings developed in the 19th and early 20th century for textiles production.
Operations there ceased in 1959 and Royal Mills became so derelict that they were classed as “buildings at risk” in 2001.
Happily this spurred action and the Mills, along with the surrounding area, has been regenerated as the Ancoats Urban Village. The area has also been given conservation status and is being considered as a World Heritage Site.
Located in the Eastern Quarter of Manchester city centre, the village is a mixed use development, combining chic apartments with offices, business units and amenities including shops, cafes and restaurants.
Overlooking the newly renovated Rochdale canal, it’s a secluded and self contained community that’s nevertheless just ten minutes’ walk from the central shopping area and Piccadilly and Victoria stations.
Getting around
Manchester sits right on the motorway network and is an important rail hub, so you can quickly be en route to other parts of the UK.
The city also has one of the country’s busiest international airports, from which you can take direct flights to over 200 destinations, including USA, India, Africa and the Middle East.
Within Manchester there’s the Metrolink tram system which makes travelling around the city quick and easy. And from Royal Mills you can walk or cycle into the centre, along the Rochdale Canal.
