Serviced Offices Solve West End's Space Dilemma

Serviced office operators in London are ideally placed to help attract new businesses to the Capital, claims Avanta Managed offices, which operates 15 business centres across London.

 “Whilst the challenging economy has seen traditional office space stall, both from a construction and investment perspective, providers of flexible workspace such as Avanta, have continued to invest in new products, services and locations in response to customer demand,” comments Geraint Evans, Avanta’s sales and marketing director.

“There is a buoyant market for office space in London with huge demand from the technology, media and telecommunications sectors and this helped push Avanta to an average 90% occupancy rate in 2011 – the highest average figure it has ever achieved.

“Some 95% of UK businesses are SMEs and these businesses now view flexible managed space as viable a mainstream alternative to traditional long term leases and fully appreciate the key benefits of lower total occupancy costs, great service and first class facilities.

“Whereas lack of investment in the traditional office market has seen supply shrink to just 4% availability in London’s West End, the serviced office sector continues to be dynamic.    As a result of continued high levels of enquiries for space, Avanta will be expanding its portfolio even further in direct response to demand.”
