Avanta Continues Indian Expansion
UK Serviced office operator Avanta has completed the next phase of its expansion drive into India by signing a leasehold on a flagship building in Mumbai.
Avanta has taken over 50,000 sq ft over two floors of the new 12 storey Platina building, at the heart of the Bandra Kurla Complex, an important business district in the city.
The company has now taken space at three buildings in prime locations in recent months to establish a presence in both Delhi and Mumbai. Avanta will operate the space as business centres, targeting both international and Indian companies looking for flexible, fully serviced office accommodation.
Further deals are expected to be announced in these two cities, along with Bangalore and Dubai, later this year, keeping the company on target to meet its long term goal of becoming a well established operator with a network of business centres in the region over the next five years.
David Alberto, Avanta’s Chief Executive, said: “International companies are recognising India as a huge growth economy and are subsequently looking to set up an operation in this expanding market. We are well placed to meet their workspace needs, and having a fully serviced office when trying to establish a business in a new marketplace can be a huge help.”
He continued: “We will increase our market presence in India and the Middle East over the next three years significantly, and already have other developments in the pipeline. These are exciting times for Avanta, having established a strong reputation as a serviced office provider in the UK, our international expansion is now well underway.”
The new building in the Bandra Kurla complex is expected to open in November 2008. The area itself provides excellent amenities and infrastructure, with state of the art offices, world class restaurants, a wide range of shops and spacious areas of public realm.
The offices are available in various sizes, from small executive suites to larger, open plan office spaces that can be configured to the requirement of the occupier. Wi-fi communal areas are available for break-out sessions or informal meetings, while meeting and training rooms are also available.
