Out of almost 450 growing businesses within Avanta’s central London portfolio, nearly 70% were at their desks this morning seemingly unaffected by any Olympic lock-down. This is according to an internal survey by Avanta, the leading provider of flexible work space and support for growing businesses.*
Locations in Zone 1 were more affected than those outside of the very centre – only around 57% of companies working at Avanta’s Orange Street location were at their desks this morning, whilst Avanta’s office space in Austin Friars was 60% full and Hanover Square had 58% occupancy by lunchtime today.
Avanta Business centres in Ealing, Harrow and Heathrow functioned as normal, with 87%, 80% and 70% of Avanta clients making it in to work by mid-morning.
Alan Pepper, CEO Avanta, said: “The results demonstrate London’s determination to make the most of business during the Games, with people that need to be there making it into work. Companies have heeded transport advice, planned accordingly and have every opportunity to make the most of next two weeks.
*Avanta surveyed occupancy by 11am of nearly 440 companies across its 16 London offices.
